Childrens’ Contact Services
This course has been specifically designed for use in Childrens Contact Services. The approach includes activities that can be used as part of the orientation to the CCS, as well as during a child’s time in the Centre, and finally at the conclusion of the child’s time with the service.
In total the course is a minimum of 24 hours long; 14 hours of self-directed learning (which can be completed alone or in groups), and 10 hours of live-online tutorials.
In this course Lorri and Jon explore the skills necessary to meet with post separation children and youth. While delivered online, the course is highly experiential and requires you to find creative ways to practice the skills discussed and demonstrated during the program. We will be meeting regularly throughout the program to discuss learnings and to practice the skills in the online setting.
